Girls Start Up Initiative

A grant of £150 is being offered to golf clubs by the Surrey Golf Partnership to engage more girls into golf. The aim is to have a series of 'satellite' clubs throughout the county offering these sessions that will feed into the newly developed 'Surrey Futures' Programme.

It has been identified that golf clubs are only averaging 1 - 2 girls as members, if at all, and this initiative is seen as a priority in the county. By offering taster sessions to beginners/non members, golf clubs are creating more opportunities for girls to get into golf.

The grant aid is available from 1st January 2009 to 31st December 2009 to 20 affiliated clubs within Surrey - for more information please take a look at the following criteria and application form. There is also a registration form available for download.
