Sub Committees
As the Surrey Golf Partnership are looking to drive golf in Surrey forward and as the second phase of funding comes through from Sport England, it is felt it is the right time to introduce a couple of sub committees. The Surrey Golf Partnership was formed just over 2 years ago and is a collection of the Surrey County Golf Union, Surrey Ladies Golf Association, PGA, English Golf Union & English Womens Association with the support of the Golf Foundation. The partnership now works as one to push golf forward rather than before each section doing their own thing. The two sub committees or action groups for a better word will look to help with the Start in golf and Stay aspects of the game. Their main roles would be to support the county's County Development Officer with educating golf Clubs better and help to promote the game and any projects that come about from the partnership. The action groups will involve about a day a month volunteering and will consist of meetings and spreading the word and assisting events, etc. If you are interested in getting involved and feel you can really help to drive this great game forward in Surrey then please email your interest to Andy Little at andy@surreygolf.org.
